The Elders

Kurt & Sheila Aichele

Kurt initially attended Hope Chapel in 1997, serving as a part of the worship team. In 2000, he moved back to his hometown of Chicago, and then in 2003, Kurt & Sheila were married, and he pursued an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In 2005, Kurt and Sheila became members at Sovereign Grace Church outside Chicago, IL, a part of Sovereign Grace Ministries. Here, under the direction of the pastoral staff, he completed a "fielded" that encompassed a variety of experiences. In 2006 the Aichele's were released to return to Colorado Springs to partner with Scott in helping "replant" Hope Chapel. By God's grace, they have been blessed with five children. Kurt is currently Chief Operating Officer at fuseSPORT while serving as an elder/pastor/teacher with Hope Chapel. Kurt and Sheila's desire is to grow in the calling God has placed on their lives.

Bill & Lynn Gross

Bill and Lynn came to Hope Chapel in 2006. They were married in 1973 and have a grown son and daughter. They also have three lovely grandchildren. What they discovered was a warm, loving, and genuine fellowship of believers who want to grow in the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. They also found the balance they'd been searching for between sound doctrine and joy-filled worship. Lynn serves in various ways, administratively and in the A/V booth. Bill teaches and writes, and serves collaboratively with the other elders.

Jason and Jennifer Churchill

Jason and Jennifer and their four children (Jonathan, Kaitlin, Seth and Ephraim) have attended Hope Chapel since 2008. They have been joyously married for 20+ years and have homeschooled their children for more than 14 years. Over the past several years they have served in multiple capacities at Hope and within local and state homeschooling organizations. Their greatest passion is the Triune God and His Glorious Gospel, and seeing that Gospel impact multiple generations of families in Colorado Springs and around the world. Their other passions include camping, eating, camping, watching movies (especially The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and camping.
